White Elephants
Red Heart Alarm coined the term “Gruntry” to describe their sound, which marries their native city’s Grunge legacy with the melodic twang of classic Americana/Roots music. The result of this Seattle rock-country experimentation is showcased their debut album White Elephants, released in 2010.
Ranging from to toe-tapping crowd pleasers like “Country Song,” to the driving, emotionally raw rock of “Skatin’,” to the sweetly honest songwriting in “Tragic,” the album represents the culmination of a year and a half of work with producer Brin Addison at Addisound Studios.
White Elephants is available on Amazon.com, iTunes, and Zune Marketplace.
